Recording is a discussion from a panel including Katie Finneran entitled " Shaw for the Millennium," discussing playwright George Bernard Shaw as a futurist, a feminist, a socialist and a surrealist.  Discussion includes a brief history of Shaw's various works and the how he was a head of his time, the play Arms and the Man, the setting of the play, numerous productions of this play, comparisons to Gilbert and Sullivan,  the character of Raina, creating characters with flaws that we love, the effect of costumes, the direction in Shaw's works and the shock value of play.
